How will Reprobel distribute the money collected ?

The Royal Decree of 15th October 1997 entrusts Reprobel with the collection and distribution of reprography rights.
This work is carried out under the strict control of its Board of Directors and its General Meeting. The mission and activities of Reprobel come under the supervision of the Minister of Economy and are subject to the coordinated laws governing management companies.

Reprography rights are not a new tax or duty. The money collected is distributed in equal shares among the entitled authors and publishers, via the authors and publishers companies belonging to Reprobel. This distribution is done according to scales of division for which the approval of the Minister of Economy is required.
