What is a protected work ?

Any work that constitutes an original creative product, reflecting the personality of its author and a degree of intellectual effort, is protected up to 70 years after the death of its author.
This means that transcriptions of lectures and musical scores are, among others, protected works, while minutes of meetings and official documents of public authorities, for example, are not.
